The Reasons Why, From the Owners

Aperto Fine Art opened its doors on Memorial Day, May 2022 with a wonderful welcome from the community. The gallery was conceived years ago by Partner Linda LaCroix along with Gallery artists Dale Bradley with a primary mission to bring great artists together in a venue where together artists can collaborate, discuss, disagree, and bring light to each other’s work. Through diverse and robust gatherings, exhibitions, and a year full of gallery events attended by fine art collectors, newbies to the art world, and everyone in between, young and old we fulfill that promise. Our artists join us from a long list of outstanding creatives from which we have invited select artists to be part of our gallery as visiting artists or by joining us throughout the year.

The list however does not include so many artists that have reached out to our new venue with a goal to join in on the fun, but we are still a small and intimate gallery with limited ability to house so many offerings. Instead, because we believe so much in bringing artists’ works out to folks in the Northwoods and beyond, we are establishing an annual Visiting Artists Juried Exhibition, this being the inaugural year. We are looking for artists who push the edges of their work ever further, driven by their sheer passion for what they do. So please read on and do join us as artist or guest for this much anticipated exhibition of what is sure to be a magnificent and captivating set of walls.

This is a charity event benefiting Tucker House, a new women’s shelter in Bridgton. Aperto will donate 5% of all sales.

At Aperto these events provide an opportunity for us to benefit local service and art organizations that we support under the rubric of a promise made to ourselves that “if we make money, we give money” based on the belief that it takes all of us to uplift those who hope to grow and prosper.

Yours truly,
Jim Kidder and Linda LaCroix
